  • formalities can be scheduled between courses

Cons

  • limited food options
  • requires place cards for  guest meal designation
  • if your guests are still hungry, there is no additional food

 

Buffet 

Pros

  • variety of food choices
  • promotes mingling and interacting amongst guests

Cons

  • depending on your guests count, it may take a while for all guests to receive their food.
  • guests have to carry their own plate, may not be as elegant as some people like.
  • requires larger quantities of food, as people eat more when they serve themselves.
